Before her passing in 2013, Janet Faubert practiced colour meditation for thirty-seven years. As a lifelong student of spirituality she was an affiliate of the Institute of Consciousness Research in Canada and a member of the Sri Chinmoy Meditation Centre. She lived and practiced her spiritual principals as a loving wife, mother and registered nurse working in the neonatal intensive care unit in Kingston, Ontario Canada.
